Munawar FaruquiStand-up comedian and reality show host, escaped a deadly plot when two shooters linked to Rohit Godara-Goldy Brarch-Virender Charan gang were arrested in Delhi on Thursday. The arrest came after a gun fight on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road.
Shooters reveal instructions from gang leaders abroad
According to an NDTV report, Munawar Faruqui became a goal for the gangsters Rohit good and Goldy Brar, who is alleged to kill him over jokes on Hindu gods. The police intercepted the shooters after intelligence efforts
According to PTI, the men, identified as Rahul, 29, from Panipat and Sahil, 37, from Bhiwani, Haryana, were commissioned to target the comedian. The accused were intercepted by Special Cell’s Counter Intelligence Unit after specific intelligence. “A professional trap is laid after the notification indicated the movement of the two shooters in the Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj area. Given the strong view that they were armed and aggressive, our team moved in to understand them. In the exchange of fire, both were damaged,” said a police officer.Both men were shot in the legs during the meeting, later taken to hospital, and the motorcycle they went with their firearms was arrested.
Gang instructions came according to information from abroad
Investigators said that the shooters had taken instructions from foreign-based Gangster Rohit Good, which is associated with Canada-based Goldy Brar and from having a criminal welfare charan. The duo was mobilized to carry out targeted murders in Delhi NCR. They had also conducted calling in Mumbai and Bengaluru to track Faruqui’s movements.
The gang is trying to influence celebrity spaces
