The first week’s collection was RS 30.3 crore second weekly collection was Rs 42.3 crore and week 3 collection was RS 67.8 crore. The film Total continued to coin over the RS 310 crore at the checkout with approximately RS 80 crore which came from the Hindi version despite releasing two weeks after the original release. The success of Kantara led to having made the sequel Kantara: Chapter 1 which is scheduled to be released tomorrow as a result of Durshera and Gandhi Jayanti. The extended weekend would play a crucial role in the film’s overall collection. According to Sacnilk, it is finally the pre -booking for the film to pick up the speed, until Tuesday the film has sold tickets worth RS 11 crore including block bookings but the figures on Wednesday have jumped to almost RS 20 crore.
According to Data Kantara: Chapter 1 has sold approximately 4 40,000 tickets that collect a total of RS 12.24 crore and by adding the block trading reaches the total collection of the movie RS 19.85 crore. If the trend continues, the movie can watch an opening day collection of nothing less than Rs 40 crore.
