The sequel to 2022’s blockbuster hit Kantara released on October 2 and dominated completely films that were released with it and before it. The film opened for Mammoth RS 61.85 crore on day 1 and became the third biggest day 1 of the year. The second day witnessed the film a small dip but still collected RS 45.4 crore. On Saturday -it is this day the movie continued with the Mint RS 55 Crore the largest Saturday collection 2025, with the Sunday Collection which hit RS 63 crore. On Monday, the film witnessed a 50 % reduction in its collection of Minting Rs 31.25 crore according to Sacnilk. But with that, the film set another benchmark to collect the highest collection on Monday for 2025 passing by big blockbuster like Vicky Kaushals chhaava (Rs 24 crore), Ahaan PandayAnet toad and Mohit Suri S Saiyaara (Rs 24 Crore) RajinicS Coolie (Rs 12 Crore), Hrithik Roshan and Jr. Ntr’s War 2 (Rs 8.75 Crore), Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly (Rs 15 Crore), Pawan Kalyan’s they call him og (Rs 7.4 Crore) and Akshay Kumars Housefull 5 (Rs 13 Crore). With an RS 31.25 crore features on Monday, the total collection of the film stands on RS 256.50 crore for just 5 days. The Monday collection is a glimpse of how strong the film has linked to the masses and everything will affect the RS 300 crore brand within the first week itself. The total collection of 2022 Canatar was RS 310 Crore and it seems that the sequel will cross that brand on the 2nd Friday itself. Kantara 2 has Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Rakimini Vasanth in important roles, manufacturers have also announced the third part with the climate in the second part.
