India pacer Mohammed Shami Set to make its domestic returns as Bengal names a strong squad for the upcoming Trophy 2025-26 season starting October 15. ShamiUnnected in the Indian Odi squad against Australia, will lead a speeding attack with Akash Deep, giving Bengal a significant stimulation by the new season. The order of the order on Abhimanyu Easwaran will lead the side, while the young Abishek Porel youth has been named the Captain. The Cricket of Bengal Association (CAB) announced the squad on Wednesday, confirming that Bengal would start their campaign against Uttarakhand in Eden Gardens from October 15, followed by another match in Gujarat on October 25. The batting line will be docked by the Anustup Majumdar and experienced Chatterjee Spread, with the promising Kumar Gharami Spreading is expected to play a major role at the top. Talent that appears such as Rahul Prasad, Saurabh Kumar Singh, and Vishal Bhati also found a place in unit 15 members. Head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla will continue to guide the team, supported by Arup Bhattacharjee and Shib Shankar Paul as assistant coach. Charajit Singh Matharu will serve as Fielding Trainer. Bengal has been placed in the Elite Group C with Gujarat, Haryana, Services, Trains, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Assam. The top two teams from each elite group will advance to the quarterfinals.
