At the Ficci Frames event in Mumbai, Mohit Suri opened about the success of ‘Saiyaara’. The filmmaker shared that he was overwhelmed by the cash register on the first day after the release. He added that the amount of love that came their way was “rare.” He said, “This love was humble.”
Mohit Suri recalled that he used to ask his wife not to disturb him in the evening, because people watching the movie would call him every day, and this continued for almost a month. He said, “I remember telling my wife this all week after that, or a month, I think, every night doesn’t bother me; everyone calls because they watched the movie from all over the world.”

At the same event, Mohit Suri shared that the success of ‘Saiyaara’ changed everyone’s attitude towards him. He said: “Competitors, people who didn’t believe me, other producers. Surprisingly, they all felt it was their winnings, and I’ve never seen love like this for a movie during the 20 years that I have made movies.”
