Vetean actor DharmenLife has often reflected the intensity of his films – filled with love, passion and drama. The superstar, who came to Mumbai from Punjab as a young married man, saw fame not only transform his career but also the dynamics of his personal life. His wife, Prakash Kaur, had to adapt from a modest life to the complexity of being a husband to one of India’s most beloved actors. Later she met the emotional challenge in her husband’s second marriage to Hema Malini – A chapter that has long fascinated fans and film historians. Now, decades later, the youngest son of dharmen, Bobby Deolhas offered a rare insight into their parents’ current life together. In a new interview with ABP Live, Bush revealed that his parents, dharmed and Prakash Kaur, currently live together on the actor’s picturesque farm in Khandala.“My mom is also there. They are both in the yard in Khandala right now. Dad and mom are together; he is just getting a little dramatic. They love to be on the farm. They are also old now, and being on the farm is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is good looking. Papa has done a paradise out there,” Bobby shared.
‘Dad is very emotional, he just follows his heart’
Over the years, Dharmenra’s posts on social media have often caused concern among fans, with many who interpret his emotional messages as signs of loneliness. Bobby managed this and made it clear that his father’s expressive nature is sometimes wrong.“Dad is very emotional. He is very expressive. He shares what he knows with everyone … Sometimes he goes overboard, and then I ask him why he wrote what he wrote or said what he said, and he tells me that he just followed his heart. Yes, of course we meet him, but we are sometimes busy and he becomes emotional. He has no idea how many people could read his post.
‘My mom is the strongest woman I’ve ever met’
Bobby also opened his mother, Prakash Kaur, who has largely stayed away from the limelight despite being the silent pillar in the Deol family.“You don’t hear much about my mom because people usually don’t ask us about her. And because my brother and father are an actor, I stop talking more about them. My mom is a housewife, and I’m her favorite. We speak every day. In fact I called me twice today. She is the strongest woman I have ever met in my life,” he said.He further reflected on her resilience and led: “She came from a small village, and the way of life was very simple. And then, to adapt to city life as a wife to a superstar … It was not easy. I am what I am because of my wife, and it is the same with my father. It is because of my mother’s support that my father became a big star.
