However, the series has already committed controversy after IRS -Officer Sameer Wankhede submitted a slander suit against AryanRed Chillies Entertainment and Netflix, claiming that the show maligned its reputation.In a new interview with Variety, Aryan explained how the team approached comedy as he stayed aware of the industry they portrayed. “We wanted to be self-launching, but not disrespectful anywhere. So I think we maintained that line correctly, and the protection rails were self-paved, mostly to do something about the industry and be part of the industry, it must be-there is a lot of respect,” he said.Aryan emphasized that jokes at herself is at the heart of good comedy. “People who can joke on themselves, I feel, are the first and most important thing about comedy. Take a joke on yourself and then spread love. Legal storm

The Sameer Wankhede slander was submitted in Delhi High Court and applied for RS 2 crore in damages, which he intends to donate to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital. Backstory: Cordelia case

Wankhede was the official of Cordelia Cruise Case 2022, where Aryan was taken into custody for alleged drug holdings. He spent 25 days in prison before getting the bail. The case was eventually dropped and Wankhede was later removed from the investigation after allegations of extortion. In May 2023, Bombay High Court acknowledged his presentation to cancel a CBI FIR who allegedly bribed.
