NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reportedly suspended all protest certificates (NOCS) for players planning to participate in foreign T20 League following the defeat of the national team to India in the Asia Cup 2025 final.Pakistan suffered five wickets to India on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, when the team led by Yadav Sidayi, obtained the Ninth Indian Ninth Cup title.On September 29, Sumair Ahmad Syed, Chief Operating Officer of PCB, issued a notice to players and agents on the NOC suspension.The decision directly affects key players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Faheem Ashraf, and Mohammad Rizwan, who are among the seven Pakistan crickets scheduled to play at the Big Bash League Australia (BBL).In addition, 16 Pakistani players, including Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, and Fakhar Zaman, are registered for the T20 International League (ILT20) auction, which will begin on October 1 in the UAE.The Board has shown that the move is aimed at encouraging players to focus on domestic tournaments, especially Trophy Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan’s first class competition, which will begin in October. However, there is no clarity when the current NOC suspension may be lifted or how long the evaluation process will be taken.Pakistan suffered three consecutive defeats of India in the Asian Cup, including the loss of seven goals in the group stage, the six-goal defeat at the Super Fours, and the loss of five goal in the finals.The post -final performance ceremony dropped into a chaos as Indian players refused to accept the winner of Mohsin Naqvi, who also served as Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).As Naqvi waited on one side of the stage, the Indian team remained about 15 meters away, refusing to move.
