In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Darbar explained his point of view by talking about her other wife, Ayesha, who left her career to raise her family. He said: “But the biggest thing my wife Ayesha did was to stop working for her child’s sake. She did RS 5 Lakh a month through shows at that time and also got an actor. But she never said she wanted to sing or perform. Even when I was in need of money she did not offer herself to serve for us.“

When he talked about daughter -in -law, actress Gauhar Khan, Darbar said: “All I know is that she has a wonderful relationship with Zaid, and that she is a wonderful mother. It is no harm to be honest about this.”

Darbar further revealed why he doesn’t look at Gauhar’s show, “Look, I come from a back family. We used to turn when a sensual type of stage came in a movie. This happens in our house even today. Gauhar is part of our family now and we are responsible for her reputation.”Darbar made it clear that only his son has the right to guide Gauhar when it comes to his work, “But I can’t tell her not to work; that right belongs to only Zaid. So I don’t hang on activities that can care.”

Darbar said, “I’m not one who should have my words. I know I won’t be able to tolerate what I see, and if I can’t tolerate what I see, I will confront them.”
