Actor Ishaan Khatter Currently seen in ‘Homebound’ which is now India’s official entry into Oscars. After being shown at the prestigious global film festivals, the film was released in India but did not receive the same reception at the cash register, as appreciation and praise. The film addresses and explores themes for Caste and Faith and in a new interview, Ishaan also opened to grow up in an Interfaith Husfold. His mother Neelima Azeem Growing up in a “liberal Muslim household” and she helped him appreciate India’s cultural diversity. Ishaan also talked about his mother’s separation from his father Rajesh Khatter when he was only four years old. He also became aware of the economic fighters that his mother went through while raising him and his half -brother Shahid Kapoor. Neelima was previously married to Pankaj Kapoor And Shahid was also almost 3-4 years old when separated. She then married Rajesh Khatter. When he talked about his film and his personal view of religion and diversity, Ishaan said during a chat with Barkha Dutt about the Mojo story, “There are some aspects, and I will bind them all. The most beautiful thing with (director) Neeraj GhaywanGaze is that he does not point any fingers or tries to prosecute. That is not the goal of this movie. He really wants empathy with everyone, including his opponents. He wants to sit down and talk. This movie is not an argument; It’s a conversation. “He went on to emphasize the need for open and respectful dialogue on polarizing issues. “Religion, to me, has been able to work many things. Identity, which is a theme for homebound, binds with religion. I was born in a household with mixed panties. It is my idea of my country: unit in diversity. It is our strength, and that is what is beautiful with us as a people. It is a large part of our identity that is important to protect. Religion is and should be a personal thing. Of course, it combines so many people together, and that is what is beautiful about it. But when used to share, I take a step back. “When he reflected on his early artistic influence, it was reminiscent of Ishaan, “I grew up and looked at Pandit Birju Maharaj and my mother who performs Kathak, and it is there in my mother so in themselves. I have most of my education about festivals and the story behind them from my mother. She was born in a very Liberal Muslim household.” He also pointed out that the real individuals who inspired his and Vishal JethwaCharacters in Homebound were close friends even though they belonged to different religions.Ishaan shared his concern about the current social climate and noted that religion is increasingly becoming “more an excuse for sharing people”, which he thinks is deeply “sad.” He also expressed a hearty admiration for his mother’s resilience after the separation from his father. He talked about his childhood and said: “I think I liked education and studies up to a certain point. And then every child has to do with their own circumstances. I grew up before my age. I had an eventful childhood. ” When asked if it was because of the divorce of his parents, he said, “I think it was one of the reasons. Every divorce child grows up over their age because they have to understand everything. The one consistent thing was school. At least I had my school friends and they are still my best friends.” He said: “I remember that Mom doubled herself like both parents, and she was also a woman, lived her own life and navigated these years. But she sacrificed most of who she would put her mother first.”
