Finally, the long-awaited Silamarasan-Vetri Maaran collaboration, which was previously referred to as Str 49, has officially received the title as ‘Arasan’.The film’s first appearance has the Silambarasan in a blood soaked shirt, holds a machete, standing next to a bike, with the face partly hidden, in accordance with the recently released campaign. The Silamarasan shared the poster on social media with the caption:“ஆளப்பிறந்த அரசன் வெற்றியுடன் சிலம்பரசன் #carenrimaaran @silambarasantr_.” who translates to, “The King born to control, Silamarasan, Triumphs!.”

The film is currently in production and is set in Vada Chennai universe, although Dhanush’s character Anbu will not be shown in Arasan.
