Vidarbha continued a unbeaten match in the Irani battle, defeating Rest of India with 93 running in a pulsating title at the Vidarbha Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Yash Dhull was top 92, while Manav Suthar contributed 56. However, Vidarbha players, led by Dubey’s left rotator (4/73) and Pacer Yash Thakur (2/47), ensured their domination throughout the game. The rest of India had dropped to 133 for six in the last morning, but Dhull and Suthar raised a scene with a 104 stand for the seventh goal. However, the struggle ended when Thakur rejected Dhull with a sharp arrest taken by Atharva Taide at Deep Third Man. The dismissal triggered a heated moment in the field, with Thakur and Dhull almost exchanging shots after the hot sender. Both the referee and Vidarbha intervened to calm the situation. The referee is expected to issue restrictions to the players involved. Thakur immediately hit the Akash far away, before Dubey wrapped the scene to close the victory for Vidarbha. The All-Round Vidarbha performance was highlighted by Atharva Taide, who scored 143 in the first half and took an important arrest to reject Dhull. Taide is called the player of the match. “The last few seasons are not good for me, but this season, I’m well prepared. Rest of India Captain Rajat Patidar acknowledges Vidarbha’s superiority. “Vidarbha plays well and deserves to be the winner, if we have applied in a better way, after evaluating the situation, I think we can approach the amount,” he said.
