When he reflected on the ups and downs of his life, he recently shared a shocking story from his early filmmaking days.

In a new conversation with his daughter Pooja Bhatt At her podcast, Mahesh Bhatt explained that he was struggling to make movies at his twenties. His friend Arun Desai, who also underwent a struggling period as him, suggested to meet a potential financier in Gaya, Bihar. Arun wanted to travel through Varanasi first to visit his guru.“There was a queue of very poor people waiting to have an audience with the guruji. He was a tantrik, a young man, who held a bottle of rum in his hand and would continue to dance,” reminded Bhatt. He added that Tantrik immediately knew he did not believe in his practice. Tantrik asked them to return the next day and promised he would have a solution.
Tantrik instructed feeding human flesh to investors
Bhatt further said: “He pulled out a bit and he made a Pudiya out of it, and he said this is human meat, taken out of Ghats. He said,” Take this and feed it to your potential investor and he will give you money “.” Bhatt felt hopeful and remember that they thought they “had this key to this kingdom of money.” Armed with the assumed human flesh they went to Gaya.

Bhatt remembered the meeting alive. “Somewhere on the outskirts of Gaya, it was these zaminds, who used to sit behind this mosquito net and had security men containing weapons,” he said. They spent time finding out how to give him the meat.
