NEW DELHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi is under critical criticism and ridicule on social media following the third consecutive defeat of Pakistan to India at the Asian Cup, with a call for immediate removal. Pakistan lost to India in Sunday’s final, and post -match performances were chaotic as Indian players refused to accept the Naqvi trophy, who was also the Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).As Naqvi waited on one side of the stage for the start of the ceremony, the Indian team stood up to 15 meters away, refusing to move. The delay continued for a few minutes, and as Naqvi finally stepped into the stage, Indian fans in the stadium loudly, shouting “Ki Jai’s eyes.” Officers then informed Naqvi that the Indian team would not receive a trophy from it.
With Indian players refusing to take the trophy, the ceremony was inferred without a show. Naqvi left Dais with a trophy medal and the winner still in his own.
